The Nukara Music Festival takes place in a natural amphitheater setting surrounded by towering River Red Gums. Set in a unique bush setting on Nukara Farm in the scenic Chapman Valley, this boutique music festival has been successfully running and growing for the past fourteen years.
Nukara comes alive the third weekend in March every year with the festival attracting local and international blues, roots and folk artists performing on two big staged areas. With the addition of unveiling local talented musicians guests will come alive with 8 hours of music under a billion stars.

Festival Tickets will be on sale from Saturday, 9th November, 2019 for $105 per person.
Gates Open at 2pm so get in early and setup camp then enjoy the live music from 5pm – 1am.
BYO beverages and food or make the most of the delicious food available from our food vendors.
Overnight camping is available at a cost of $15 per person.

Friday 15 March 2018 – Gates open 4pm
Drive in at your leisure and set up camp in your desired ULTIMATE weekend location.
6pm – 8pm: Head on down to the Bush Tub Oasis for a freshly barbecued ‘Steak or Homemade Vegetarian Burger’ with all the imaginable toppings. Sit back and enjoy your meal while listening to some live music from Adam Grok and Sweet Water until 9pm before heading on back to camp. Gaze and settle under a billion stars before a massive Saturday line-up.

Breakfast 7am – 8.30am: Stroll over to the Stone & Timber Barn for a ‘TWO COURSE BIG BUFFET BREKKIE’. Cereals with all the toppings, juice, tea, coffee and a barbecue brekkie will be on offer.
Bush Activities 8am – noon
This year our guests enjoyed an early morning start with meditation or a guided bush walk with Freddy (our amazing 78 year old very fit, knowledgeable and quick witted mother). Others chose to revitalise with a session of yoga with live music while some chose to beat a few drums and learn some base. The remainder of our guests simply enjoyed having our picturesque property to share with only a hand full of other guests and played musical instruments, sang, swam and enjoyed a few beverages – The choice is yours.

Lunch 12.30 – 1.30pm: Cruise back to the Stone & Timber Barn for a delicious slice of’ ‘Homemade Meat or Vegetarian Lasagna’ both made with fresh farm and local produce and a side of salad.
Nukara Music Festival 5pm – 1am
Cruise on down and enjoy the live music. Five big name bands will perform on the big stage and keep your rockin’. In between, take in local talent on the original Nukara Music Festival Creek Stage.
Dinner: Use your dinner voucher to delight your taste buds with a meal from any of the food vendors.

Main Headline Act: PERCH CREEK
Perch Creek are a band of five exuberant and multi-talented musicians, four of whom are siblings. This Melbourne-based international touring act write and perform harmony driven modern pop/folk music with a creative energy and fearless spirit. With three lead singers and diverse instrumentation, Perch Creek combine five-part vocal harmonies with folk, pop, roots and rock musical styles, all threaded together by the band’s unique five-way collaborative song-writing – a coalescence of lyrics, music and arrangement, drawing on the creative strengths of each band member and the clarity of the group’s vision.
Canadian-born, Australia-based singer-songwriter Garrett Kato showed up in Byron Bay 9 years ago with nothing but a bag of clothes, a backpack, and a guitar after quitting his day job on a whim.
With over 20 million worldwide streams on Spotify to date, 2019 has seen Garrett play sold out shows with Damien Rice, tour US/Canada with Ziggy Alberts and play his first Euro/UK co-headline tour with Riley Pearce. The year has also seen him continue to produce for a string of Australian indie folk acts including Ziggy Alberts, Kyle Lionheart, Pete Murray, Pierce Brothers and Riley Pearce.
Garrett is looking ahead to 2020 as another big year of touring and releasing a stunning collection of new music.
Boom! Bap! Pow!
Bap! Pow! are a band that know how to work their crowd the old fashioned way. They’ve spent the last few years clocking up kilometres and appearing on just about every stage on offer. Give them a few planks of wood to jive on and an audience to sway and Boom!
Theona Councillor is a Yamatji-Noongar woman, who grew up in Hedland but has spiritual, cultural and family connections to the Naaguja people of the Midwest coastal region and the Wardandi Bibbulmun people from the Southwest region of Western Australia.
‘Cover Me’ is the title track from her second album and is also the first single from it. The album is stunningly beautiful, with a crafty collection of songs that are captivating in every sense of the word.
Adam Grok & Sweet Water
Born deep in the core of the earth, Sweet Water is a musical project inspired by a thirst for life & good water.

Again, Nukara Music Festival is one of the very few that allows guests to bring their own catering or take advantage of purchasing a meal. Traditionally six food vendors are available with a variety of vegetarian, non-vegetarian and gluten free meals. Meals vary from $10 – $20 each. A Sunday morning recovery breakfast is available for $10.
The only time you can camp at Nukara is when you attend an event. People say that Nukara is one of the most peaceful, tranquil and senses activating experiences they have had. From simply sleeping in a swag, pitching a tent, bringing your camper trailer, caravan, bus, or roll up in your fifth wheeler! You will be blessed by sleeping under a billion stars. Sorry, we do not take site bookings. Camping fees $15 per person – simply book with your Nukara Music Festival ticket.
Flora and Fauna
Nukara is home to an abundance of flora and fauna and varies from season to season. Being local, they are pretty friendly so we do advice you to zip up your swags, zip up your tents and keep your doors closed.
Nukara boasts unique bathroom facilities including male, female and disability rooms. The male and female offer 2 heated bag showers and 2 toilets. All the facilities are run from rain water. Plenty of additional toilets will be located throughout the grounds.
Power and Water
Nukara Farm is operated by generator power. Guests are welcome to bring generators but please be respectful of fellow guests. An abundance of rain water is available – simply bring your own bottles.
Fires are strictly prohibited during Nukara Music Festival. Gas or electric barbecues and ovens are welcome for cooking.
We apologise in advance but please leave your pets at home – No pet policy!
Nukara is a farming ground and has many uneven surface. Wear comfy, sensible shoes.
