Our venue is set amongst rocky outcrops, remnant vegetation, a small creek and old river gums, providing a true bush camp location with a diverse range of flora and fauna.
Our relaxed rustic, bush setting has been enhanced with unique infrastructure, constructed predominantly with recycled materials that blend in and flow with the natural surrounds.
Nukara has evolved over the past 15 years into a very special venue that is totally enveloped in nature. Each season brings an variety of flora and fauna for guests to discover on their journey.
The Stone & Timber Barn
When it comes to having an event space that oozes with character, wraps your well being in warmth and instantly changes your mood, the Stone and Timber Barn will impress. The high ceilings and large open spaces are only just the beginning. The commercial kitchen has everything required to cook up amazing food or bring your own chef. Top this with a trendy bar complete with eskys, a funky performance stage built over the natural winter creek, huge fire pit, extensive timber deck, children’s playground and plenty of lawn and shady trees, the area can be used in endless ways.
Bush Tub Oasis
This secluded event area is hidden amongst old river gums and is designed to bring your senses alive. Offering a large unique undercover area with large gas barbecue and esky, fridge, plenty of built in tables & chairs, you can make the most of enjoying the outdoors or be protected from the weather. A large Pizza Oven adds a touch of warmth and brings the taste buds alive or enjoy a soothing bath in the stone tub. Amenities are a short scenic 50 metre stroll over the timber bridge along with extensive camping grounds.
Surrounded by lush flora and fauna, Fox Dam was man made in 1990. The space provided families the opportunity to gather in a bush setting and enjoy a range of outdoor activities including the Flying Fox, Paddle Boarding and Swimming. Fox Dam is now a popular event location as hosts take advantage of being able to spend time in the sunshine, relax by the sound of water and breathe fresh air. All these benefits assist the body to work more efficiently and reduce forms of stress. Fox Dam features a unique rustic gazebo with BBQ facilities, tables and seating. Ablutions are located a scenic 30 metre walk away.
People say that Nukara is one of the most peaceful, tranquil and senses activating experiences they have had! An abundance of flora and fauna can be observed which varies from season to season and you will be treated to sleeping under a billion stars.

I was so excited to be invited share my activation’s and teachings within Nukara Farm. The energy of the land and space Donna and Phil have created enhanced the day for all involved. Camping is permitted with any venue booking however we do not take site bookings. The camping grounds are big enough to accommodate anything from a camp bed or swag, caravans or extra large buses. Some camp beds and tents are available for hire.
Nukara boasts unique bathroom facilities including male, female and disability rooms located close to The Stone & Timber Barn. The male and female rooms offer two (2) heated bag showers and two (2) flushing toilets. The disability access provided one (1) heated bag shower, one (1) flushing toilet and a baby change table. The rooms are big enough for those wanting to get dressed or changed, include a large mirror and power.
Our second amenities block is situated within a short thirty (30) meter stroll from Fox Dam and the Bush Tub Oasis and is a unisex setup. The disability access has one (1) heated shower and flushing toilet. A second flushing toilet is available.

There is something for everyone at Nukara Farm.. ‘your senses will come alive!’.
Bird Watchers can get lost for hours. You will find an abundance of man made and natural bird nests over the property and typically we are blessed with laughing kookaburras, grey fantails, crows, ravens, magpies, wrens, butcher birds, swallows, white and red breasted robins, carnabies, corellas, galahs, honey eaters, black cockatoos, swallows and many more.
If you are interested in farming, take a stroll and check out the great range of historic machinery dating back to the early 1900’s. Our Fordson tractor has become a photographic icon.
Plus! There are plenty of native animals to be discovered. Take a walk up to kangaroo lookout, explore through the rocky outcrops and see if you can spot an echidna, keep your eyes open at night to watch the possums or spot an owl or daze at the lazy lizards bath in the sun. The farm breeds a small flock of sheep which are well watched over by our friend Lilly the donkey.
Native Plants: we love seeing the property flourishing through spring when our natives come out in flower. We have more than twenty different varieties growing throughout the property.
Plus water sources. As an eco-friendly destination, Nukara Farm is run from rain water and other water sources. Take a stroll to see old water wells and watering systems that continue to supply the farm with it’s water supply today.
